MUMT 307: Week #10

There are numerous applications in music technology that make use of frequency-domain analysis or processing to achieve a desired result. One example is additive synthesis, where the estimation of sinusoidal parameters is generally performed using the Short-Time Fourier Transform. Developing a complete understanding of the relationships between time- and frequency-domain versions of a signal often involves advanced mathematics and courses in signal processing. In this section, we will develop a more intuitive insight into these relationships.
