• Corresponding objects exist for receiving/sending “Pitch Bend” (bendin, bendout), “Control Change” (ctlin, ctlout), “Program Change” (pgmin, pgmout), “Channel Pressure” (touchin, touchout) and “Aftertouch” (polytouchin, polytouchout) messages.

• “Aftertouch” is often referred to as polyphonic aftertouch, as it is specific to particular key numbers. On the other hand, “Channel Pressure” is also sometimes referred to as aftertouch but it is a single value that is applied to all notes of a channel.

• ctlin can take a specific controller number to allow “filtering” of messages.
